Dywidag Tie Bar Systems

This system is primarily used to hold shuttering firmly in place when constructing concrete walls.

The Dywidag bar itself has a coarse thread making it idea for use on construction sites. This thread runs along the whole length of the bar allowing it to be cut or coupled at any point. When assembling the formwork the Dywidag bar is held in place by using large Wing Nuts and washers called Waler Plates. The bars are slid through plastic tubes called Thruty Sleeves so that once the concrete has set the bars can be easily removed from the structure. To create neat chamfered edges to these holes on the concrete structure Thruty Cones are placed on the ends of the Thruty Sleeves while setting up the formwork.

We stock 15mm Dywidag bar in 6 metre lengths, Wing Nuts, Waler Plates, Thruty Sleeves, and Thruty Cones. Should you require the bars at specific lengths, we offer a cutting service.
